What does Focus mean in a venture studio portfolio?

Focus means a small set of active projects with a validation contract, growth ranking and daily execution attention — currently three product bets. Everything else is Monitor, Parked or Avvecklat.

What is the difference between Focus and the SEO/dev attention set?

Focus is product validation — three bets with falsifiable contracts (The Hockey Analytics, Föräldraledighetsplaneraren, and Field Notes here). The SEO/dev attention set is eight live surfaces that get daily crawl, copy, and technical SEO work: EIK, TUR, THA, The Hockey Brain, The Agent Fabric, The Atomic Network, AI Automation Fabric, and The Print Route. A project can be Focus without being in the SEO queue yet — family-cluster SEO is deferred, not abandoned.

What is the difference between Monitor and Parked?

Monitor projects stay live and visible to the market but outside the daily growth queue. Parked projects are dormant or archived — no false Active signals and no competing for operator attention.

Why limit Focus projects?

Attention is the scarce resource. A bounded Focus set keeps learning loops measurable. Spreading SEO and GTM across every live site creates portfolio spray without compounding evidence.

Focus

A bounded Focus set — currently three projects: The Hockey Analytics, Föräldraledighetsplaneraren, and Field Notes on this site. Each keeps:

one claim surface (page or Field Note) with proof
one redistribution asset
one expected outcome that can be falsified

Monitor

Monitor projects remain reachable when a live site exists — cards stay honest about status — but they do not carry a Focus validation contract. They may still sit in the SEO/dev attention set (eight live surfaces with daily crawl, copy, and technical SEO work) without being a Focus product bet.

Examples in the eight-set: EIK, TUR, THA, The Hockey Brain, The Agent Fabric, The Atomic Network (pilot), AI Automation Fabric, The Print Route.

Other Monitor projects outside that set: MeshGuard, Signal Mesh, Operator Context.

Parked

Parked work is not “Active with low traffic.” It is explicitly out of the attention budget. Promoting Parked projects as Active is a portfolio lie — we avoid it.

What visitors should infer

A Focus badge means we are actively learning on that surface this week.
A Monitor badge means the venture is real and maintained, not abandoned — and not the current growth priority.
Missing from the homepage does not mean the project never existed; it may be Parked or internal-only.
