The Shelf Route

Testing

Started · Retail

No public website yet.

Price tags, shelf labels and car signs as a service: designed, printed and delivered.

What it is

Physical stores still live on paper: price tags, shelf labels, campaign signs and window signs on cars for sale. Most shops make them by hand in a word processor. The Shelf Route does it for them: send the prices, get finished tags designed, printed and delivered, ready to put up.

It runs on The Print Route, the studio’s print engine, and is a restart of The Price Lab, this time as a service instead of a self-serve tool.

Who it is for

Physical stores, car dealers, specialty retailers and cafés. Later, brands and producers that want their products priced and presented consistently in every store that sells them.

How it is tested

A demand test: a landing page with an interactive sign designer for stores, car dealers, specialty retailers and cafés, pilot prices as hypotheses and a sign-up form. The test measures how many businesses sign up before anything more is built.

How AI does the work

The site, the sign designer, the agent interfaces (MCP, llms.txt) and the campaign material are built with AI coding assistants by one person.

Status: Testing
